This course offers a comprehensive introduction to data and video analysis in international football. Participants become familiar with the most modern techniques and tools for match analysis, for evaluating player performance and for supporting strategic decision-making. Short course description:
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to data and video analysis in international football. Participants become familiar with the most modern techniques and tools for match analysis, for evaluating player performance and for supporting strategic decision-making. The course contains both practical and theoretical modules, so that participants acquire a thorough foundation in applying sports analytics to football.

Teaching strategy & method
The course runs across 3 weekends, 4 hours a day. On the third weekend students take part in a study day in Zalaegerszeg; on the second day of that weekend there is a written examination, and students may also defend their previously submitted project work orally. At the end of the placement an essay must be submitted summarising the experience gained.
